Finance Minister Muftah Ismail has blamed Imran Khan for load shedding, inflation and tough agreements with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Finance Minister Muftah Ismail said in a statement that Imran Khan and his team laid landmines for the economy so that Pakistan would go bankrupt but this conspiracy would fail.
Imran Khan and his team lied to both the nation and the IMF. Inflation, load shedding and economic catastrophe brought Imran Khan and his team but we will end it.
"The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has demanded that Imran Khan and Shaukat Tareen's written agreement be fulfilled. We have told them that we cannot impose so many taxes on the people at once," Ismail said.
He said that we will not do what Imran Khan and his team did to bankrupt the economy. The IMF said that Imran Khan had agreed in writing to increase the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 30. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had also promised to increase the price of electricity every month and impose 17% sales tax.
Finance Minister Muftah Ismail questioned why the IMF had said that Imran Khan had reduced the price of petrol and diesel and subsidized it when there was no money for it. Why was the first payment not made? Why subsidized at the expense of the IMF? If we subsidize our money, will we ask for our money back?
The Finance Minister said that before Shaukat Tareen became the Minister, he himself used to say that Imran Khan has drowned the economy. Do you think the stench of four years will be cleared in a week? If there is load shedding in the country, was there no load shedding two weeks ago? We advised not to order oil and gas?
He said that four years ago the PML-N government had ended load shedding, once again we will end it again. It is shameful to think of those who took him from 190 to bring it back in two weeks. Stop spreading false rumors. If you can't support us in taking Pakistan forward then at least keep quiet.
Imported government.
